The Richard D. Wyckoff Method of Trading and Investing in Stocks
Richard Wyckoff never proposed any standardized pattern names in his works (such as Reading the Tape and Wall Street Stock Selector: The Forty-Five Year Secret of Wall Street). His core focus was on the three fundamental principles (Supply and Demand, Cause and Effect, Effort vs. Result) and the characteristics of the market cycle phases: Accumulation - Markup - Distribution - Markdown. He emphasized judging market conditions through volume-price coordination, support and resistance tests, and traces of smart money activity, rather than mechanically identifying price charts.
